Green Halloween is sponsoring a National Costume Swap Day on Saturday, October 8th. According to their website, if half of American kids swapped their costumes instead of buying new at Halloween, landfill waste would be reduced by 6,250 TONS. Need a visual? That’s about 2500 midsize cars.
There are two swaps happening near Baltimore on Saturday:
- Baltimore Homeschool is hosting one at the Baltimore Homeschool Community Center from 11 AM - 2:00 PM.
- The Town of La Plata Costume Swap is part of the Fall Community Yard Sale to be held at the same time on the grounds of La Plata Town Hall from 8 AM - 12:00 noon.
