koodie picks: yogi castle

Our friend Eli, the Koodie (kid + foodie), is back with his final cool treat review for (cool) progeny this summer. {Side note: Can you believe school is starting soon?} Check his previous reviews of The Cow in Reisterstown, Friendly Snowballs in Parkville, Prigel Family Creamery in Glen Arm, Walther Gardens Snowballs in Baltimore, By the Scoop in Middle River, Bonkeys in New Freedom, and Snoasis in Cockeysville, too! You can catch more of Eli's restaurant reviews on his blog, Adventures of a Koodie.

I went to a place called Yogi Castle. It had just opened in White Marsh. When I got inside, it looked like the inside of Tutti Frutti which I reviewed before. It had bright colors painted on the wall, a weight, and a place for their toppings.

When I looked at the flavors, I saw only sherbert, low fat, and no sugar added sherbert. Though I didn't really care. Some of the flavors for the day were Activia Strawberry, Cookies'n'cream, and Classic Chocolate. I had Red Velvet Cake. When I came to the toppings, there weren't as many as Tutti Frutti. They had toppings like M&M's, Oreo's, and Crushed Reese's Cups. I had Mochi (it is a chewy topping like candy made out of rice), gummy worm's, and chocolate sprinkles. It was delicious! It was creamy, cold, chewy, and fruity.

I give ***** stars for food and **** stars for kid friendly. I only give four stars because they didn't have a lot of toppings. Well, that's all. Bye!

koodie picks: snoasis

Our friend Eli, the Koodie (kid + foodie), is back with an exclusive snowball stand review for (cool) progeny. Check his previous reviews of The Cow in Reisterstown, Friendly Snowballs in Parkville, Prigel Family Creamery in Glen Arm, Walther Gardens Snowballs in Baltimore, By the Scoop in Middle River, and Bonkeys in New Freedom, too! On Wednesday I went to a place called Snoasis. They have snowballs and soft serve ice cream there. When I got there, I noticed that they had picnic tables with beach umbrellas there. I also saw a huge menu which had two types of snowballs. They had Old Favorites and Premium Flavors. They had flavors for Old Favorites like Bubble Gum, Wine Cooler, and Tutti Fruitti. They had flavors for Premium Flavors like Almond Joy, Peach Melba, and Cherry Jubilee. They also had Lemonade and Milkshakes. And they even had a flavor of the day, which for today was banana. If you got it, you got free marshmallow on it.

I had a Snowstorm, which is a snowball on the bottom and soft serve on top (I had chocolate as the snowball flavor). When I got it, I noticed the soft serve was sticking out of the cup. It was fantastic! It was a creamy, chilly flavor at the top and a chocolaty, crunchy, cold taste on the bottom. I give ***** stars for food and ***** stars for kid friendliness. I gave 5 stars for kid friendly because soft serve and snowballs are both kid friendly. Well, that's all. Bye!

koodie picks: bonkeys

Our friend Eli, the Koodie (kid + foodie), is back with an exclusive ice cream shoppe review for (cool) progeny. Check his previous reviews of The Cow in Reisterstown, Friendly Snowballs in Parkville, Prigel Family Creamery in Glen Arm, Walther Gardens Snowballs in Baltimore, and By the Scoop in Middle River, too! I went to Bonkeys, a ice cream place in New Freedom, Pennsylvania. Since I was with my grandma, I was able to go there. When I first got there, there were no chairs, though there were flower planters outside that are benches. Inside, there are a lot of photos of the people who go there. They also had a sign of all their ice cream flavors such as Triple Chocolate, Cookie Monster, and a new flavor called Honeycomb. There are also pictures of desserts above the collage of people such as chocolate covered cheesecake, sundaes, and banana splits. They also sell lots of different types of candy. There was also a sign that they sell rootbeer floats and smoothies. There were so many flavors of ice cream and snoballs to choose from, but this time, I chose a rootbeer float with vanilla ice cream.

There was a large line of people coming in after we were served. There is always a big line at Bonkeys. Now, let's get back to the food. When I got my rootbeer float, I was going to wait for the ice cream to melt, but it was too irresistable. By the time we walked back to the car, about 1/4 of it was gone! When I got back to my grandparents' house, I took a couple more sips. It was so good, I just couldn't stop drinking it! The root beer tasted delicious and the ice cream being melted made it better. There is one more thing which I forgot to talk about, and that is about the kid friendliness. Even though they didn't have chairs or tables, everything was a kids menu, since kids love ice cream.
I give ***** stars for food and **** stars for kid friendliness. Well, that's all. Bye!

koodie picks: by the scoop

Our friend Eli, the Koodie (kid + foodie), is back with an exclusive snowball stand review for (cool) progeny. On Wednesday I went to a ice cream place called By The Scoop. When I got in, the first thing I saw was that it looked old fashioned. When I got to the front, I saw lots of flavors like Fudge Brownie, Cookie Monster, and Berger Cookie. Since all kids like ice cream, all the food there was kid friendly. I got an Ultimate Chocolate ice cream in a sugar cone. Before I got a chance to eat it I noticed three other things. The first one was that there was a TV showing an old TV show, my dad said it was "Leave it to Beaver". The second was that there was a chalk board on the wall beside the television. The third was that there were children tables near the chalk board. But anyways, back to the ice cream. It was delicious! It was super chocolaty, very creamy, and tasted homemade! I loved every part of it. The best part was that there was a lot of it. The only problem was that there was no flavor to the sugar cone. Though my dad told me it was supposed to taste like that. I give ***** stars for food and ***** stars for kid friendly. Well, that's all. Bye!
