It's green. It's healthy. It's creative.
And the bike-powered blenders just look so (cool).
Customers select one of the flavors on 'today's menu' (they rotate and always use fresh ingredients). After the ingredients find their way into the blender, you have the option of biking to power the blending yourself - - or pay a extra 50 cents to have someone from Wheely Good bike for you. Because the Bug and I were traveling solo, I opted to pay the extra 50 cents.
Bug and I shared a Mango Tango Smoothie: frozen mango chunks and pure mango nectar. Dangerously delicious. And refreshing.
I asked Natan how in the world he thought up bike-powered smoothies. His answer was simple: "I like biking and I like smoothies."
Smoothies come in one-size-fits-all greenware cups and cost $5.00 (plus the extra 50 cents if a staff person bikes for you).
You can find Wheely Good Smoothies at the 32nd Street Market on Saturdays, or at the Baltimore Farmer's Market on Sundays. The on-the-go business is also available for private parties. How fabulous would this be at your child's next birthday party or family-friendly event? Healthy snacks AND exercise! Simply sneaky or seriously cool? Does it matter?
