Family Fun Day at West Shore Park

Pack a picnic lunch, hop on the Charm City Circulator, and head to West Shore Park for a day of free family fun! There will be entertainment for children of all ages including live “hip for hopping” children’s music performed by musician Danny Reaves; interactive cooking demos with Chrissa Carlson, Food For Life Educator, Hampstead Hill Academy & Owner/Operator, Urban Farmhouse Edible Landscape; Itsy Bitsy Yoga demos with the MAC’s Kay Smith; face painting by Charm City Face Painting; smoothies by Wheely Good Smoothies; aMuse’s active play area; MAC’s Fitness and Wellness zone; and the Charm City Circulator’s coloring station. Most activities will take place under a tent providing ample shade. Event runs from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday. Check out what aMuse Toys has planned on their blog... Baltimore International Festival and Cup Soccer Tournament

The International Festival, scheduled for August 7 & 8, 2010, promotes opportunities for people of all ethnicities and backgrounds living in the Baltimore region to come together, build relationships, and embrace unity. Festival-goers can savor delicious cuisines, experience cultural performances, and connect with valuable services and resources. An exciting festival of colors, expression, ideas, and sound - the International Festival is an educational experience which has an enduring impact. For those who participate, children and adults alike, global perspective becomes larger, cultural awareness more enhanced, and the significance of unity more real. At Poly/Western High School.




Kids Can Second Sunday - Balancing Bob

During the summer, Kids Can Second Sundays at the BMI become Brainstorm Challenges, where kids can flex their creative muscles by building a variety of projects. Join a trained museum educator for a hands-on, educational activity that mixes science and technology with fun. Brainstorm Challenges at the BMI are presented through Mattel and are recommended for ages 8-12. Free with admission. All activities start at 1:00 p.m. and last for approximately 1 hour.
