Start Your Holiday Shopping with a Half-full Glass at This Weekend's JBalt Fundraiser

The holidays often times come equal parts joy and stress. Elusive Hallmark cookie baking moment? Bliss. Standing in a line of 300 others outside the mall on Black Friday, hoping to nab one of six ultra-cool-mom-I-just-gotta-have-this-thing-that-takes-700-obscure-batteries-and-does-1-million-borderline-annoying-things-(fill in object of desire here)? High anxiety.

Why not ease into holiday shopping season with a bit of wine and chocolate?

Stop by the Junior League of Baltimore's Sip, Savor and Shop Decor Galore Preview Party tomorrow night for just a bit of spoiling and pick up some fabulous deals from Charm City's most popular stores. Well worth the $20 ticket ($15 in advance if you buy them on the web). Did we mention you can shop during working-parent-friendly-hours of 6 PM - 10 PM?

We did our due diligence and were thrilled to find out that while you can pick up a Yummy & Company pendant necklace for yourself, a Christmas fleece owl for your home, a sleeveless tennis dress for your Maltese, or a Cuisipro Ice Cream Scoop and Stack for your best friend's cousin (why is she on your gift buying list again?), there are tons of wonderful giftable items for your ultra (cool) progeny, too!

Caryn Dombow (Junior League Member) let us know that there are stacks of Melissa and Doug puzzles, kid-friendly items from The Monogram Shop and Teresa B, children's clothes (think Trumpette Socks for $10 - - instead of $25!) from Bellini Baby, toys and more.

In addition to the vendors offering items up to 50% off, there will be a handful of handcrafted vendors offering one-of-a-kind wares, too. A great way to get your Etsy on - - locally.

Best part? First 100 shoppers through the door tomorrow night score a VIP swag bag. Who couldn't use a little swag in their life?

A full list of vendors can be found on the League's website.

Can't make tomorrow's cocktail event? Stop by the sale from 9 AM - 5 PM on Saturday. Entrance on Saturday is 100% FREE. You'll find the sale at 1830 York Road Timonium (former location of Scan near Starbucks, Chipotle & Quiznos).
