Do you make the best grilled cheese in Charm City?Mt. Washington Tavern wants you to showcase your stuff at their first Grilled Cheese Cook-Off in April! They're looking for a few good grilled cheese lovers (and who knows grilled cheese better than BMore's moms and dads?) who are willing to go up against the pros.
Who will be judging? Round one (online recipe submissions) will be reviewed by Mt. Washington Tavern staff. Three amateur chefs will then be selected to participate in round two of the contest: the live April 10th cook-off where a panel of celebrities will select a professional winner and home cook winner. Other prizes will be given for crowd favorite and -- wait for it -- kids' choice.
You heard it. The most discerning grilled cheese palates in the city will be selecting their favorite sandwich. In truth, this is the real coup of an award. We've given (cool) progeny readers the competitive edge... and compiled a brief video of advice from area kids who know their grilled cheese.
