shopping for a cause: whole foods give 5% to Cylburn Arboretum TOMORROW

Whole Foods Mt. Washington is giving back tomorrow, Wednesday, June 15. 5% of your total purchase is being reinvested in a local gem: Cylburn Arboretum. Cylburn is one of our favorite outdoor green spaces, complete with trails, environmentally-focused education, entertainment family-friendly events all year round! To add to the community fun, Whole Foods has a full day of family friendly events taking place!

10:30 AM: Story Hour with Ellen Perlman. Miss Ellen will read nature themed stories,have some special activities & giveaways.

1- 2:30 PM: Plant a Pizza Party. Learn what herbs make a delicious pizza & plant them with tomatoes & peppers in their own special container for kids & caregivers.

4-7 PM: Gardening Tip Table. Stop by the Whole Foods Tip Table to ask a question or hear some new information from our gardening experts. Some topics to be covered include: using newspaper to mulch your garden, how to care for your gardening tools, the right way to compost, and how to lay out your garden plus many more.

If you head out later in the afternoon, check out the local farmer's market behind Starbucks. Locally grown produce and fresh farm goodies from 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM.
