what's up for the weekend: oct 21-23

Hello, Fall! There are so many family-friendly things happening this weekend -- even though I'd consider it the calm before the Halloween storm of amazingly fun events taking place next week. Here are our top 5 picks for family fun downtown this weekend.

Target Family Fun Night at Port Discovery!  The weather is getting just a wee bit nippy out. {{Hello, fall!}} Stay warm at Port Discovery tonight while getting your play on! Tonight from 4 pm -7 pm admission to Port Discovery is just $2.

Free Family Festival of Discovery: Saturday from 10 AM - 4 PM at the Walters Art Museum! What happens when you combine curiosity with creativity? The festival celebrates the connections between art, science, math and play. Learn about inventions created by artists, discover how scientists and artists have used art to answer questions and solve puzzles, and explore how creativity in one field can influence discoveries or breakthroughs in another. Create your own inventions, make experimental art projects, play with light and much more!

Backstage at CENTERSTAGE: It's their annual open house, which is fun for the WHOLE family! Event features backstage tours, performances, workshops, and activities that are FREE and fun. Give your little actor or actress a backstage pass this Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM. For reservations please email the CENTERSTAGE Box Office at rsvp@centerstage.org.
