what's up for the weekend: november 4-6

So many fun things happening around town this weekend. We've got a complete list on our calendar (and for you uber-organized types, I just updated a BUNCH of holiday events around town, too!). Here are our top family-friendly picks for this weekend.

Last Weekend for Fall Harvest Days at Weber's Cider Mill Farm: We {heart} Webers. Plain and simple. This is the last weekend to have some good old fashioned fun in their seasonal Barnyard Activity area. Admission includes one hayride, straw maze, mini-straw maze, pedal tractors, hillside slide, tractor wagon ride, the Duck Races and more. Don't miss the apple cider donuts inside their store... or the pumpkin ice cream. Open Friday through Sunday.

4th Annual Downtown Baltimore Family Alliance School and Children's Programs Fair: City dweller? Want the 411 on school options and extracurricular activities for your pint-sizers? Don't miss this fantastic, kid-friendly event at Digital Harbor High School on Saturday from 9 AM - 12 PM. It's FREE! But they are asking for RSVPs...

Tailgating for Tots: Get the littlest ones in your family all revved up for football at Charm City Kids Club this Saturday. Wear your favorite team jersey and a special guest chef will be teaching parent/child combos (grandparents and other friends can accompany kids too) how to cook delicious tailgating treats. Open to all ages. $14 members/$16 nonmembers. RSVP required.

EXHIBIT OPENING! Beyond Baseball: The Life of Roberto Clemente at the REGGIE:  The baseball diamond has produced legendary athletes who have broken records and shattered barriers. For many, Roberto Clemente is the most inspiring of all. With a cannon arm and lightning speed, he was an outstanding ballplayer. But the Puerto Rico native was also a dedicated humanitarian. SITES, the Smithsonian Latino Center, the Clemente family, and the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico present Beyond Baseball: The Life of Roberto Clemente as a tribute to this monumental figure’s outstanding achievements on the field and off. The exhibit opens Saturday at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum and runs through January 2, 2012.

Green Cleaner Workshop (for the WHOLE family!): Ever wonder how to make your own eco-friendly cleaners? Masonville Cove Environmental Center will show you how to save money on your cleaning products while saving the environment on Saturday from 12 PM - 1 PM. Refreshments Provided.

Healthy First Saturday at Port Discovery (and Happy Feet Meet 'n Greet!): Start your month off the healthy way at Port Discovery's community health fair featuring Cook and Tell with Wegmans, FIDOS for Freedom, The Baltimore Health Care Access Healthy Corner and more! Come out and meet Erik and Mumble of Happy Feet 2 at Port Discovery on from 10 am- 11 am, too.

Debbie and Friends Concert: Get ready for a musical experience for the entire family, complete with classic kids’ tales and original songs! The Gordon Center For Performing Arts will be hosting Debbie Cavalier and her band. With energy and enthusiasm, Debbie tells stories that children know and love. This Sunday at 3 PM. Buy your tickets online ahead of time!
