Come play and shop local with us December 10th through the 17th! We've worked with some of our fav local businesses to create an uber fun scavenger hunt for the whole family. You've got a week to travel around the city, shop for gifts and complete fun challenges. The individual (or family) that racks up the most points takes all.
What's in the winner's basket? So far we have a $100 gift certificate to Green Spring Station, Tegu Blocks from aMuse Toys, a Chaser Tee with Rockabye Baby CD from Wee Chic Boutique, My Foodie ABC Placemats from DuoPress, a $40 gift certificate to Petit Feet Footwear, a Puffin Classic from Trohv, a Port Discovery Family Membership, a perfume brooch from Polina's Prive Fine Lingerie, an Irvine Nature Center Membership, a set of award-winning Kleynimals, a superhero cape and storybook crown from Ellie Bellie Kids... and MORE! The prizes keep piling in!
Everyone who completes at least one challenge is entered in a random drawing to win a $50 gift certificate to ANY participating retailer. So yeah, you should play.
HOW TO PLAY:
Download the SCVNGR app on your mobile phone and create an account. From December 10th through the 17th, log into the app while you shop at participating retailers. Search charm city holiday trek to find and fulfill the challenge requests and earn points! (The name will pop right up in the app on your iPhone or Android platform phone). We have one set of challenges live through 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 13th. On 8:00 AM on Wednesday, December 14th, the challenges will change at all locations -- giving you a chance to stop by them all again to earn more points!
ABOUT THE CHALLENGES
The challenges are FUN! At each location, you have the option of performing one of two tasks. One will ask you to snap a photo and another will ask for a response to a question. None of the challenges requires a mensa certification, or even novice jeopardy skills.
Every challenge is worth 4 points -- and the person (or family!) with the most points at the end of the week will nab a gift basket FULL of prizes featured in our holiday gift guide (valued over $500). Businesses will be featured more than once over the week, and the challenges will be different each time. So go ahead -- visit 'em twice.
