for Japan with love

All of us are devastated by the recent events in Japan. When disasters like this strike, it leaves even the most verbose utterly speechless.

There simply are no words. And the images are breathtaking in the worst possible sense. We don't need to show them here. You've seen them.

(cool) progeny is joining bloggers all around the world in "Bloggers Day of Silence." There will be no post on Friday, March 18th.

Please consider donating to ShelterBox, the selected charity of For Japan With Love - Bloggers Day of Silence. ShelterBox provides the essentials a family needs to survive in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. Each large, green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items.

Each donation - - no matter how small - - compounds when we all give together.

May our silence be heard round the world. Many thanks to ever ours and Utterly Engaged for organizing this.
