things are heating up for this weekend's playdate - Take Steps 2011!

I can't begin to tell you how excited I am for this weekend's (cool) progeny community play date, taking place as part of the Take Steps Walk 2011, benefiting Chrons and Colitis Foundation. We have tons of FUN happening on Saturday night (June 25th) in Federal Hill Park. {{Read our play date announcement post here}}.

Here's the skinny and our play date schedule:
5:00 PM - Walk Registration. All Play Date Families must register at the Walk Check In in Federal Hill Park (the walk starts and ends there). At this time, you'll be asked to make a donation to the Foundation. Although we'd love for each family to give $25, it doesn't matter what you give. Every little bit (even $1) helps. Here's where you'll get your wristband that will get you into the post-walk festivities. {{And your maracas so we can make a LOT of noise!!}}

5:30 PM - Warm Up Led by Tina Gahaghan of Stroller Strides. Ever been to a Stroller Strides class? You'll get a little taste of one during this quick family-friendly warm up with Tina Gahaghan, owner of Stroller Strides Baltimore. Look for the BIG (cool) progeny play date poster on a stick.

5:45 PM - Opening "Ceremonies" for the Walk: Chrons and Colitis Foundation, along with Maryland Athletic Clubs, are going to get everyone PUMPED for the Walk!

6:00 PM - The Walk STARTS! It's a 2 mile (they shortened it from 3 miles) stroller-friendly jaunt through the city -- with the half way point at West Shore Park! The half-way pit stop is being sponsored by Waterfront Partnership. Grab water, a balloon hat and run through Sondheim Fountain before continuing on your way to the festivities in Federal Hill Park.

Post-Walk Fun: Moonbounces, art activities with aMuse Toys and the Jewish Community Center, FREE wraps, sandwiches, drinks, gluten free cookies and gluten free pizza, a DJ and MORE await you and your family at the end of the walk. Oh, and swing by the (cool) progeny table for your fabulous swag bag, filled by our amazing partners.
Have you checked out our partners? Many thanks to KneeBouncers, EllieBellieKids,
Wee Chic - A Baby Boutique, Whole Foods Mt. Washington, The Walters Art Museum, Children of the World Co-Op, Stroller Strides Baltimore City, NurturMe Organic Baby Food, TotSwap Consignment Sales, Green Healthy Cleaning, and JuicePlus.

Driving? Discounted parking will be available in Rash Field for $10, which is located directly across the street from the park on the Harbor, next to Rusty Scupper. Follow the signs and parking attendants.

Wanna join the fun? We'd love for you to RSVP here... or just show up on Saturday and find us! {Note, that we can only guarantee a goodie bag if you RSVP}.
